On Saturday the 18th of may I celebrated my birthday (yes I know I'm late updating) and I invited my MJ girls to come over and at the same time see yet another movie. I was thinking that we might also go out after the film, but we watched The Lord of the Rings EXTENDED after I finally got it on Blu-Ray, so that was sort of impossible in the end. God knows how many times I've seen the extended plus the extra material, since I've had it on DVD for many years already. We had a really good time and I even got my LOTR Black Milk leggings just in time (picture coming up). Two of the girls had never seen LOTR so of course that made it een more fun. Simo had baked two pies for us as well as two cakes and acted as the waiter, hehe. A goooood day.

1. I'm silly and I write silly things on my silly blog. 2. I like to collect (hoard) things, and I need to concentrate to not start huge collections. I collect Disney snowglobes, fridge magnets, cooking books, movies, music CD's, sheet music for piano, books, Michael Jackson stash, perfumes, nail polish, make up, Black Milk clothing, autographed pictures of actors I've met at nerd conventions, just to name a few... 3. I get very over the top about things I like, and being a fan comes naturally to me. I saw Lord Of The Rings (The Fellowship of the Ring) 7 times in the cinema, Star Wars Episode 1 7 times, and Pirates of the Caribbean; The Black Pearl 8 times. Number has nothing to do with reality, LOTR is definately my favourite of the three. 4. After seeing "Contact" with Jodie Foster as a child I became a hobby astronomer and I know almost all the constellations on the northern hemisphere. I have 2 telescopes. 5. I'm really bad at putting the dirty dishes into the dishwasher. Even if it's empty. 6. I've met everyone in the Jackson family except Janet and La Toya. That's including Michael. 7. I discover new music by looking at what's new and surfing on play.com and then checking it out on YouTube. I hate MTV. 8. I HATE reality shows that are based on consuming and glamour, but often find myself staring at them. 9. I love crazy serial killer documentaries, COPS, Behind bars and anything crime from real life and find myself getting more and more paranoid by each look. 10. I get obsessions easily and will have them for a little while before moving to something else. These obsessions go in waves, but they are more or less always gonna be interests of mine. There you go. I was bored.

On Friday was Norway's National Day and since we haven't celebrated in a few years, and it's a very big celebration in Norway, Simo, Milla and I decided to join the celebration here in Finland, held by the Norwegian Club. We walked for about 5 km to the place they always have their parade, and eventhough we were a little bit late, we made it in time to walk a little as well as hearing the National Anthem and speeches. It was a very lovely and warm day too, which is really rare for 17th of May. It seems like it's alays raining on that day in Norway. Bummer. After fighting with the zipper of my new dress that still was old and been hanging in the closet for quite a while, I could call myself ready. No point fixing your hair in Finland, 'cause no matter what you do, as soon as you walk out of your hut you will look like a troll anyways. I already discovered quite early that putting on high heels before walking for 5 km was a bad idea, but hey - HEY HEY! You know? So as tradition wants, we had hot dogs and ice cream, and all in all it was a great day. But my poor feel will pay the price for a few days for sure.

Yes, I very much realize that that title right here sounded like a filthy no good tabloid. But that's what it's all about isn't it? Filth and lies? So Wade Robson, who claims he was one of Michael Jackson's best friends, and who supported him and was the most important witness for Michael in the trial back in 2005 now say that he was molested as a child by Michael. However, he says that he just remembered, and that the trauma of it has kept his memory in shadow. Nice try, Hitler. It's not going so well for him. These news are coming out as he is a witness for AEG who Michael's family are suing for his death. Now the interesting thing is that he works for AEG. Guess the money are pouring in now! Now already experts and psychologists has said that this is untrue, and repressed memory of sexual abuse (particularly when your molester is in the media all the time about it) isn't possible. But anyways...Michael nephew Taj Jackson, who was part of the group 3T in the 90's has just revealed some secrets and interesting info on Twitter. Here is what he said: "What people will $ay and do for money and to $tay relevant is $ickening. De$perate times call for De$perate mea$ures. #Money. I will not sit back and let someone flat out lie about my uncle. PERIOD. I am writing these words knowing that the minute I press send, my life will never be the same afterwards… I was sexually abuse. By an uncle on my mom's side of the family when I was a kid. My uncle was a support system for me and my mom. He wrote a letter to her that many have seen already, u just didn't know what it was about. That is how I KNOW Wade is lying. Because I AM a survivor. My hands are still trembling. Don't forget I was living at Neverland when Wade testified during my uncle's case. I sat there and ate dinner with him and his family. I don't want to go on TV. I don't want publicity, I just want the truth. I always told my uncle Michael that I would take a bullet for him. I mean it today just as much as I meant it back then. I hate that Wade made me do this, this way. But since my uncle Michael is no longer here to defend himself. I will. Make no mistake. Since my uncle Michael is no longer here to defend himself. I WILL. Even if that means friendships." This is the letter Michael wrote to Taj's mother Dee Dee: "Dee Dee, PLEASE read this article about child molestation and please read to it Taj, T.J. and Taryll, it brings out how even your own relatives can be molesters of children, or even uncles or aunts molesting nephews or nieces. Please read. Love, M.J." I think it's a wonderful and brave thing Taj is doing and I have the deepest respect and much love for his bravery. This is the song and music video that Michael made with 3T in the 90's. Taj is the brother with the braids.
The spring weather is here and we're all enjoying ourselves here in Finland. The sun is rare, so we have to use it as much as we can. Simo, Milla and I have been walking around quite a lot since spring came along, and going to the center and back again isn't rare nowadays. That's 18 kilometers. And with all this shiny sun, of course I have to wear my shiny Black Milk leggings, who wouldn't?

It's been a nice couple of days this weekend. I was planning to paint, but that just went out the window. Instead Simo and I (and Milla) have been taken it easy and made some good food. Yesterday we made the world's simplest salad; Mozzarella salad with tomatoes. You can add anything you want to it really, but it should have some olive oil on top as well as basilica. Today we took a long walk with Milla and looked around some places we haven't been to before. When we came home, I baked some bread that we had with French cheese such as Camembert. As you can see, it got a bit burned, eventhough I had it in the over for the time it said in the recipe. But I forgot how important it is to keep looking all the time when you bake bread. But the second go was perfect, so I'm looking forward to a good breakfast tomorrow! =)

Yesterday was one of those days where everything was just delightful. Every flower that was blooming, every person I met on my walk with Milla, the neighbour that tried to walk her cat in a leach, and the cat who refused, lied down until the owner stopped and just stood there for a reeeally long time wondering what to do. Then I listened to Owl City the whole way to the gym and during work out. I love Owl City. Probably my favourite music right now. It's very high spirited and leaves you in a good mood I think. I have all his four albums. When I came to the gym, I met an old work out mate there. She is like 10 years younger than me, and I don't really know her name, but for some reason, we have always chatted and talked when we meet there, and ironically I know alot about her. Except her name. lol. So I worked out for a while and then we started talking, and talking, and talking. We ended up talking for about an hour, just sitting on the gym mats and we talked about travelling and her newest love interest and so on. We hadn't seen each other for a year or so, and we were like old friends having a coffee. In the end we were like "what's your name again"? People looked at us as if we were crazy! But that's Scandinavia for you. I've always had that gift - and I'm proud of it. I can talk to anyone, anywhere. It's great, and it makes me happy.

The biggest celebration of the year has hit Finland again; VAPPU! It's a celebration of spring. Usually, the evening before the actually day, which is the 1st of May, is spent out drinking and the center is pretty packed. I usually stay away from it, and Simo and I had a cozy night in, watching Lord of the Rings - Two Towers with my PROOOOOOJECTOOOOR! On Wednesday we went to his nephews gig (he looks like a rock star) and had dinner with his family which is quite big and loud. Not like a typical quiet Finnish family it all. It was great fun and we ended up staying a lot later than we thought. Today Øyvind from Norway (and the 501st) is gonna spend the night before going back to Norway tomorrow. Iron Man 3 might be the day's adventure.

Sunday was the second (and last) day of our trooping in Model Expo. Luckily, since we already had all our stuff there, we didn't have to go so early this time and since there wasn't that many guests right away on sunday, we could take it a bit easy with the changing to armor. So the start of the day was pretty easy. Not as many guests as the day before, and we had time to goof around a little also. We took some pictures and I was careful to get some taken in my new costume that I had on to try it a little and get to know it. The speederbike was well used for this. I even had a Han Solo for Sweden there, as well as one from Russia. What a luxury. It's not THAT much to say about this day - except for that it went well as usual, and the whole weekend was great fun! I'll post some more pics when they are out and about.
Saturday 27th of April. Model Expo is here again, and like always it was full of surprises and great costumes! This years surprise though, was a full size AT-ST walker in our stand, as well as a Ewok flying above us! And I can't forget the speederbike! Had lots of fun with that one! So we arrived there at 7:45 in the morning, to have a short briefing betting our costumes on. I decided to wear my Padme Amidala Battle Arena outfit that day and was one of the first troopers to be ready. One thing I love with that costume - it's easy to put on and move around in. I even got to dance with my son in law! ;) We had a record of troopers this year. Almost 60 of them and from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia, we made a great team. Since it's soon Return of The Jedi's 30th anniversary, we concentrated on Endor this year as a theme and we even had a bunch of Ewoks walking around as well. After the troop we went back to the Komulainen for a party and had a great evening with spoonbending entertaiment and more cakes than you can imagine!
